You _do_ know that diff(1) has the options "-r" recursive and "-b"
brief and "-s" same so that you can compare the contents of two
directories and get only the report "same" or "different" for all
files. Also it will report on files present in one directory but not
in the other.
$ man diff
carl
--
carl lowenstein marine physical lab u.c. san diego
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
