You know, I nearly deleted your email for being spam. Guess I slightly misread the subject. :) 2T is the maximum under 2.4 and early 2.5. According to: https://www.redhat.com/archives/linux-cluster/2004-September/msg00068.html the max is 16T under 2.6. But even that still seems rather small. That is only 3 doublings or 5 years if Moores law applied to disks (which it doesn't but what the heck). I guess 5 years isn't too bad but it seems like it should just be fixed once and be done with it sort of like ipv6. I wonder if we'll ever see a day when ipv6 address space is in danger of running out. - -- Tracy "Yep, I'm driving" Reed http://ultraviolet.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFCsxlg9PIYKZYVAq0RAo8KAJ0RPXXQ9gWq3U29GMc8sn0jwpk6xACePtVf vN+U5txf753eTg0u7rwaZgs= =Ic6I -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
