When that big stainless tilted wheel thingie gets really dirty, the tape
can cling, actually wind under the input side, and begin to roll your
tape on itself. You may never have seen this, Ralph, because you may
never have let a tape player go 5 years w/o a cleaning.

My father-in-law is a wonderful man. But he shouldn't be allowed to own
electronics.
