Maybe you haven't been paying attention:
Firstly, copyright and patent laws have changed in the opposite
direction of the views of many KPLUG posters.
Secondly, both copyrights and patents /are already of limited duration/
by law in the U.S. Granted, by the time some key copyrights and/or
patents are very close to expiration, their lives may again be extended
by Congress.
