Heh.

Thin clients make a lot of sense for corporate use. I can't see it as a
good idea for *personal* use -- even though you could probably sell it
that way. It has many of the same problems with kiosks: you can't
*really* trust it, you're depending on someone else to take care of your
stuff, and in the end, you don't really own anything.

Linux is generally in the domain of geeks. Geeks aren't likely to pay
for a desktop hosting plan, and if it's free... they should be asking
serious questions.

Everyone else... has no need for Linux. It's pretty much all the same
to them: confusing!

This presupposes an immense amount of bandwidth. And if you want to
trust your link, you're still going to travel with a laptop.

Give people a warm, fuzzy feeling. Let 'em feel as if they're part of
the majority. Give 'em all something in commong to gripe about.

They've already got you. You're using the generic term (Windows)
instead of the real name (Microsoft Windows). They've got mindshare,
even in your mind.
