> The radeon driver from X.org is pretty good these days. The open souce radeon driver does work for me, but without acceleration. I want to develop with SDL and neither glxgears or my app will run. The open-source driver only support acceleration on older cards through the 9200. My x200 card is newer than that, and they don't make a 9200 card for PCI-E. My current course is to install Debian x86_64 and try the fglrx package that is in the testing repository. If I can't get it to work by Monday, I will celebrate "Un dia sin immigrante" by purchasing an NVIDIA card.
