Has anyone been observing text-cursor problems with mozilla components
(ie, thunderbird and firefox)?
On my FC5 x86_64 with a nvidia video card (evga), using either the nv or
nvidia x-module, I get extremely annoying artifacts whenever I have a
text cursor. That includes text boxes (right here), forms input areas,
and URL location lines.
The symptom is that moving back and forth in text with arrow keys or, to
a lesser extent, by mouse leaves the old cursor intact (until something
like keyboard entry or scree repaint forced by window resize, ..). In
addition, the blinking cursor-bar itself seems to alterate between a
top-part and a bottom-part (somewhat similar
to the 2 halves of a solidus, but the top:bottom ratio is maybe 3:5).
I don't see the problem anywhere except in tb & ff.
