Not necessarily. Not in a world where we have no copyrights. A lot of
people welcome this behavior and license under the BSD license.
But do those people have other sources of providing for themselves and
their families. The BSD license, came from a puiblically funded school.
They didn't have to worry about feeding themselves. How does an artist
put food on the table if this is the only thing they do, and want a
return on their investment of time and effort. And if someone else pays
them, what do THEY want in return ? Usually the ability to distribute
the works and get their own RoI.
