I have heard this various times before about other versions of Windows but unless the next version of Windows which you do inevitably end up switching to comes out soon (in the next year or two) you will be forced to Vista one way or another. I have never seen anyone make good on their promise to never upgrade. I do not know of any shops that are still purely win95, win98, win2k, etc.
