That is surprising.  I guess SCSI's claim to fame is speed but I heard
that gap may be closing too.

I've always considered SCSI's benefit to be it's ability to deal well with large multiple-io workloads.

You didn't mention IDE in your feel good list of drive types.
Guess IDE isn't as good as SCSI?

erm... SATA and PATA _are_ IDE.
