Bob,
This NAS will only get you 750GB RAID5. It looks to me it has 4x250GB drives
in it, so if you want the full TB, you'll have to stripe all the drives. Not
a good idea in my book, no fault tolerance, loose a drive and the entire
array is toast. I don't know what RAID card they're using either, so that
could leave out hot swapping as well. My guess is it's software raid under
some flavor of Linux.
