I decided to try the Linksys web site for help on a piece of their
hardware (EFG120 V1.0 Network Attached Storage). Found that their
"normal" technical help channel allows you a short (maybe 80 char)
question which some kind of artificial intelligence then tries to fit
into their set of standard canned answers.

Poking around the web site some more, I found the channel for sending
email regarding help, and composed a three-paragraph inquiry. When I
submitted that, I got the following answer:

"Thank you for your inquiry! But, in response to overwhelming
customer feedback, we are discontinuing the email support channel for
Technical Support Inquiries."

In other words, go away and don't bother us.

Or possibly:
Buy our product. *Then* go away and don't bother us. Our salespeople will be happy to talk to you anytime. :-$
