Sounds like it's the only place you can plug your usb keyboard in, eh? You do mention "cheapo" hub. Is this an adapter card? An external hub of some kind? ..no real ideas.. some Googling gives (eg) http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=2598287&postcount=1 containing "..wide-spread USB device mounting problems in Feisty Fawn.." Presumeably ubuntu driver problems get a lot of attention, so it _may_ be reasonable to expect (ie, hope for) a solution before long. If no one here has any suggestions, and no update fixes the problem in a short time, then you may need to report details to forums at ubuntu http://ubuntuforums.org/ and/or at linux-usb-devel https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-devel Regards, ..jim -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
