Openmoko sounds cool let's hope someone decides to manufacture it. I am still not sure how Apple managed to get the Iphone to be so tactile. Supposedly there are a lot of sensors in the Iphone to detect finger gestures. Much of this technology is probably patented so it may be hard for others to implement.
I wonder who manufactured the Iphone...?? My guess is that it was probably Flextronics.. ----- Original Message ---- From: Nicholas Wheeler <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Main Discussion List for KPLUG <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, July 6, 2007 12:49:15 PM Subject: Re: Iphone thoughts What? Why get the "Jphone"? The neo1973 (pictured in the link you provided) is commonly called the "OpenMoko phone". Wouldn't you rather have an OpenMoko than a Jphone? http://www.openmoko.org/ On 7/6/07, Randall Shimizu <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > The Iphone is a very well engineered product, but it lacks some > features to be considered a business tool.
