Lan, If your rpm supports the --aid switch, you can do:
cd /path/to/dvd/rpms rpm -ivh --aid MythDora-version.rpm and it should install the required dependencies, otherway the best will be to add a new local repository; once you add and enable the repo on /etc/yum.conf, do a: yum localinstall MythDora Regards, ==============Original message text=============== On Sun, 08 Jul 2007 11:35:44 PDT "Lan Barnes" wrote: Is there a way to use yum to resolve dependencies but to reference local rpms (as on the MythDora DVD)? I'm hoping it could then hit the yum archives for the dependencies (if any). -- Lan Barnes SCM Analyst Linux Guy Tcl/Tk Enthusiast Biodiesel Brewer -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list ===========End of original message text=========== Urivan A.
