Are you suggesting that you never stop and chat with a coworker at the

I know in my office, non-work related conversations can easily last more
than 10 minutes.
Personally, I don't begrudge anyone a break they need, so long as they
are pulling their own weight.
It's equity. Either everyone gets all that time, or no one does.
That's fine.
Myself, I play table tennis during the day.
In close matches, I can be gone from my desk for a half hour.
I figure that makes up for a few smoke breaks.
Or make the smoker clock out for each smoke break.
What a depressing place to work that would be.
