If you don't believe me, just read the OSI's definition of what constitutes
open source.  It is impossible for an OSI license to *NOT* provide freedom.
Hence, OSI believes and supports freedom.

And by the way, the GPL is OSI approved if you didn't know.

So that is why it is possible to be a freedom and GPL fan while still
using the term 'open source'.

I agree...
Open source is really about options and one of the organic side effects of having options is freedom.

I'm a happy camper because I have more and more mature options on the desktop, I have had options for 12-13 years on the server side and I know programmers who constantly say "there is more than one way to do it" because they have options to solve problems.
