I'm about to hit the "checkout" button on Newegg for a Biostar 945P-A7A motherboard. I'm assuming the Intel 945P chipset is fine for Linux. (If you've heard otherwise, let me know!)
But it seems like all the CPUs I can buy for this motherboard are 64 bit. I don't even want to mess with 64 bit right now. This is going into a set-and-forget computer for my Dad. He'll have it for the next two or three years. I just want to load Linux, have the important things work, and then walk away. Will I be able to do that? Can I load 32 bit Linux and pretend like the CPU is not 64 bit? -todd -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
