Gus,
Just curious -- which vendor at the swap meet had the fans, and how much
were they?
Thanks

This last weekend I went to the swap meet out in Santee and picked up
a pair of 120mm case fans for my MythTV box. I needed something quiet
to replace the current 90mm fan. What I got was something called an
Enermax UC-12EB which had the interesting property of having removable
fan blades so I could pull them off and clean them. It also has a
magnetic bearing instead of sleeve or ball bearings that they call an
Enlobal bearing that pretty much suspends the fan in air and thus has
no wear points. I found a writeup at Phoronix
<http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=509&num=1> in case
someone is interested.
The vendor was Cable 'n Bits <http://www.cablenbits.com> They are in
West Hills, CA 91307. The fan was way more expensive than what I should
have paid for it :/
Checking Froogle
<http://www.google.com/products?q=UC-12EB&btnG=Search+Products> shows
them available for about $7-8 dollars. Some of the local stores here in
San Diego probably have it also.
