Are you changing the BIOS time or just the OS time ?

Box is at home, I am, as yet, not. The only time I could change was
the time via the date command. I didn't think to run hwclock (or
whatever tool it is) to try to change the BIOS clock.
Changing the OS clock did not affect behavior.
Reboots vary from 4-7 minutes after the hour, according to time on,
well, everything around me.
To my knowledge, there are no dead people under my property.
I'm going digging in the BIOS tonight.
