Hi KPLUG,

I am ( or soon will be ) a new member to the KPLUG, I was unable to attend
the previous events/meetings this season thanks to a few work related
trips.

I should introduce my self, my name is Guillermo Antonio but my friends
call me "Gamaral," "William" or "Wonka." I work as a software engineer, I
live in Tijuana MX with my wife and 10 year old daughter, until recently I
have done free-lance and off-site work for companies in the US, MX and UK,
currently I have been sponsored to work full-time on KDE and other FLOSS
projects ( from home ) by my host company Nanotec GmbH and soon ( if all
goes well ) I will co-found a large scale non-profit organization based in
Switzerland that will develop FLOSS alternatives for the commercial market
in Mexico, Central and South America.

  Let's see what else...

I support anything that is *FLOSS* friendly.

  I support long *beards*.

  I support long *hair*.

  I support long *fat* people.

  I support local *libraries*
You will find me in the science section of the the San Diego Central
Library at least once a week.

I am a big *Dilbert* fan.

My OS of choice is *GNU/Linux*.

My Distro of choice is *Gentoo*.

My Desktop Manager of choice is *KDE*.

My stance on Proprietary Software is to *avoid* if at all possible
I don't judge or bug anybody who does decide to use it.

My favorite Editor is GNU *Emacs*.

I prefer NNTP over Mailing Lists.
    Using gmane.org gateway.

  My laptop doesn't do wireless.
Thank you Broadcom and HP COMPAQ.

I use virtual terminals 80% of the time.

My favorite type of beer is the Dark Lager.
after a few to many I wear tux hat and dance around in circles.

Looking forward to meeting you all in person. :-D,

Can anybody enlighten me on the finer details of the KPLUG ?

Cheers,
gamaral
