I've been asking on lpsg about getting an undefined __ctype_b link error trying to build a C ncurses application on Ubuntu 7.10, but I'm wondering whether I should have asked on this main list, despite the fact that the application is one I have written.
Are programs like lynx, less, top, and mutt all built using some work-around to avoid incompatibility between libc and libncurses? Is an old libc used somehow?
