Yes, DBTCP looks promising.
I had some other ODBC connectors previously, but they were
time-limited shareware, and I didn't find DBTCP in my previous
searches. Then I found the libpx package which allowed me to dump
Paradox DB's to SQL.
If you need help with anything let me know. I've a lot of experience
with the DBTCP connector. Also, the DPTCP server that is available on
the website has a bug that can cause a crash in some instances when
there is null data in a field. I have a fixed version that I compiled
myself if you want it.
I would please.
We have plenty of NULL fields in our DB
I don't have the source code for the management system. It's a
proprietary system made by ADP. They've been saying for *years* that
they're going to port to SQL, but I'll be retired by then !
Too bad. Wonder how hard it would be to replace with some LAMP stuff?
I've thought about it, becoz it was a SCO Unix system until recently.
Now it's Windows and it's all mousy/clicky and crap like that.
But there's a *LOT* of accounting knowledge/experience encoded into it,
that would take a lot of work to reproduce.
But it's so damn expensive that I would LOVE to rewrite it in LAMP !
