Dion't understand, unless there is a Grub password.

If you have booted into single-user mode you _are_ root.
At that point you should be able to change anyone's password without
knowing what it originally was.

If this doesn't work, boot a live distribution, such as Knoppix or
DamnSmall Linux, mount the hard drive file system and edit the
/etc/passwd or /etc/shadow file to remove the root password.
