Sure. But when it comes time to upgrade that machine or reinstall for
whatever reason such a complicated setup is a huge pain. I am fighting
just that sort of environment moving out of our old datacenter. Imagine
you have a server compromise and have to shut it down and reinstall. The
downtime will be lengthy as you try to restore/reconfigure all of that
functionality.

of the imaging tools and failover tools would seem to also make
life easier for server farm farmers.
Failover and availability is needed by anyone who runs applications
which must be reliable. We don't intend to be server farm farmers. We
just end up with lots of mail/dns/db/web/file/etc servers.
