They can't be archived by anyone other than the website owner also.

Nothing can track threads more easily than my preferred mail reader because it tracks then the way I want it to.

Web forums also tend to be pull based. I have to remember to go to the site. I prefer it to be delivered directly to my desktop for fast reading.

And then of course you get the smilies, giant graphic signatures, and other lameness. I like the KPLUG lists just the way they are.
