I do, sometimes. If I'm searching for some kind of thing on the Internet that I want to buy, I punch it into Google, "web hosting" as a generic example, and I'll get targeted ads on the side that give me some names. I use the search results and the ads both to zero in on what I want. Sometimes I'll Google the companies advertising and use that to find related providers of said goods.
