reading some of the answers in this forum lately, I'd venture to guess that
there are a few on this list who have never burned and ISO image. The odds
of the typical( 90% ) Windows user knowing how to burn an image is very
very low.

But with shipit.ubuntu.com life has become much easier for many. As Carl
mentioned, a book/docs with a CD is the best for those venturing outside
of Windows and Mac.
