Has anyone here had experience with Citadel/Webcit?

I'd appreciate a warning or recommendation. This is for family use on a
small network with web access from work/school.

It's worth the time to try. I've not used it in production, but spent some time evaluating it. My interest was piqued because my computer history extends back into the dial-up BBS days, and Citadel-based BBSes were some of my favorites. This system is based on the same codebase (hence the "rooms" paradigm), evolved for TCP/IP and the web. It can be a little clunky in places, but it would definitely be appropriate for family groupware.
