Just to expound on this a bit.  SCSI comes in narrow and wide, in
various speed ranges.  And single-ended or differential or low-voltage
differential.  Many of these are compatible with each other at some
level.

SCSI disks also come with 50-pin, 68-pin, and 80-pin connectors.  It's
harder to do cross-compatiblity when the cable doesn't even fit.

I could probably find in my back room a few samples of almost every
combination except differential.  So what does this server really
need?
