This site
  http://rootshell.be/
seems to give anybody who asks a shell account (via ssh) and even a
little personal web space.

There is supposed to be a mail account as well, but I'm still
trying to retrieve a test message sent from outside. Maybe
it's slow, or maybe you have to ask for it to be enabled?

Other than for getting some exposure to a OpenBSD command line, I'm
wondering what this is good for?

I suppose doing some ssh tunnel would be a likely convenience, although
I don't see any big need for that myself -- except for experimenting. It
is nice to know it's available, though.

Does anyone have any good stories or ideas on using this (or similar)?

Regards,
..jim
