My intent was to express that there may be details in getting a proper dual
boot working with Win XP that I may not have considered.  The install fest
regulars, as you know, are old hands at getting this work.  I was indicating
that I don't have all the necessary information to consider every contingency. 
Perhaps I should have been more complete.
