Rich:
I hope you know that you need to put in the same kind of RAM sticks. You
can't put two dissimilar brands/models in there, they need to be compatible.
I've tried mixing and matching and the new one is either not recognized, or
it causes hardware conflicts... My suggestion is to just buy two new 256mg
sticks for the type of slots you have, not knowing exactly what you mean by
"older" pc.

Subject: RIMM/RAMBUS ram, anyone have some?
Date: Fri, 23 Jun 2006 11:59:30 -0700
Hi,
I'm trying to find some RAMBUS/RIMM modules for an older pc I want to
fix up.
It's only got 256meg (2x128), so I'm looking for either 2 more,
preferably 256's for 512 more, or more/higher capacities.
Anyone have some they want to sell for reasonable price? And if so,
what is a reasonable price for this oddball memory?
Thanks,
Rich
