It seems that the number of connections per client can be controlled at the
server  side.  As such, you will still run into their limit.  I have run into
this problem when downloading ISO files.  Even with an adjustment on the client
side, you will not overcome the limit on the server.


You can use wget as a client, and run as many as you want.  This still
does not overcome any server restrictions.  Nor does it make the total
bandwidth of your connection any greater.  :-)
