Just for kicks I called the guy on the phone this evening to see what
his idea was and your link seems to have really pissed him off. He
wasn't at all friendly to me and he didn't seem interested in talking
about it after this came to light and I eventually had to hang up on
him while he was ranting about what a great opportunity we just missed
out on. I'm really surprised to see this sort of thing hitting a LUG
mailing list. We must have "suckers" written on our webpage or something.

And the address in his .sig is this:

http://www.moveandstay.com/san_diego/san-diego-hq-1853.asp?id=1853

A "virtual" office. Looks like Joe here has been involved in just one
business dealing that the Internet is aware of:

It seems he took out a $400,000 loan from IPEX Inc.

secured by property at 10863 Stone Haven Way, San Diego, California
92130. According to Zillow this is a $1.83M home which is up in the
Carmel Mountain Ranch area. Hey Joe, nice digs! :)

IPEX is a "Former start-up exploration company. In March 2005, Tamarack
Ventures merged with AICI Inc, a Nevada corporation which operated an an
electronic market or exchange, and changed its name to Ipex." Not much
else about it or any of the other companies mentioned on the net.
Possibly just shell companies or fronts for who knows what.

BTW: Joe called back and left an apology on my voicemail. He wants to
make nice and maybe provide some sponsorship to our club.

Joe: Apology accepted but I'm not interested anymore. Thanks anyway and
good luck!
