Subject: Firefox URL bar behavior
Date: Mon, 29 Jan 2007 18:59:42 -0800
I'm finally switching myself to Firefox from Mozilla and have an issue with the URL bar (the field where I type in the URL). Under Mozilla, I was able to set the behavior to automatically fill in the URL after typing in only a few characters. The URL would fill in as well as provide me a drop down list of possible selections. So if I were to type:

www.go

the URL bar would fill in:

www.google.com

with the ogle.com part highlighted in blue.

Under Firefox (1.5.0.9), it no longer completes the URL and I have to use the drop down list to get my selection. The configuration option for this is also missing. How do I get that functionality back?

Gus
