cheapest of the cheap, and deliberately designed to
make you dependent on them for replacement parts.
Nothing about it should be counted on to provide the
foundation of a solid system. I wouldn't recommend
spending much money on it.
I had one that developed a power supply problem. I
found many people on the Internet with the same
complaint, under powered as I recall.

I used to support an office that had a few eMachines and almost all of
them had power supply problems,
but be careful with opening the boxes they are very cheap and have
sharp edges.

Just to add my $0.02, I have an eMachine I used for testing websites
and web apps. I had to pull the plug after shutting down because I
would often find it had turned itself back on. I agree about the cases
not being fun to work on.
