Wow, the judge really threw the book at him! Hope they have posted a

His other option is, of course, rescind his probation, return to jail,
serve the rest of his sentence, and use whatever OS he wants to upon his
release.

Of course I'd probably get too cute and install
Linux and find a licensed copy of M$ to run in a
VMWare instance... And while that would let
me/them run their software on my computer (once
they could see their software up and running I
bet they don't ever actually examine the system
afterwards) if they did find out they'd probably
get pissed and say I violated terms of parole[1]
because, well 'you know what we meant!'...
