Try to remember.  When you were asked where to install the bootloader,
what was your answer?

If you boot from the Install (CD,DVD) you should be able to choose
Rescue mode and fix things from there.

This is the type of situation that could be much more easily diagnosed
hands-on than trying to do it by email.
