I've tried looking at dig, host and nslookup but these don't seem to be able to do the wildcard query. Anyone have a way of doing this?

To get that info out of DNS, you're basically asking to do a zone transfer. In the much older, happier, less secure days of DNS, this was often possible... but now most DNS daemons are configured to only allow full zone queries from authorized machines. Though your intention is only curiosity, having a comprehensive host list available to anyone who asks is quite a bad idea. :)

That said, you can always *try* it with dig:

dig @nameserver domain.com axfr

Worst case is you get denied.
