Just use the install restricted driver through Ubuntu,
System->Administration->Hardware Drivers, if Ubuntu detected a Nvidia
graphics card it will list NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (version ###)
, one should have recommended next to it, oh wait this is for 8.10, um 8.04
should be similiar, something like restricted drivers or something in the
same place.
