Sorry I have no experience running a signal over wires already in the house
(i assume you mean like electrical and stuff).  WDS works great, or the
directional antena does also.  My church pastor's house is on the church
property, but it's old with the metal frame or something, so a normal signal
wouldn't reach.  My father (who handles' the churches computer related
issues) purchased a directional antenna (and knowing him it had some
ridiculous range) and now that whole house has excellent reception from the
church.
