Hmmm, if she can see the graphics, etc., it sounds more like a problem with her email program, than one with Thunderbird. What email program does she use, do you know? Not AOL, I hope... :) I think there's an option in Thunderbird to forward emails as an attachment, vs. in-line, check that as well.
