I also favor the no foot-dragging choice.

In my fuzzy recollection, a past situation held at some non-current
(zope?) in order to run some application (not plone) that had not been
ported to the most current version.

If that comes up again, I think it should be discussed carefully. Or,
maybe my memory is playing tricks, in which case .. nevermind. :-)

The nice thing about our virtual world, is it's probably easy to
checkpoint and if experiments don't pan out, simply go back to the
checkpoint. Is that right?

On Plone migration, let me volunteer for any conversion drudgery that
needs to be done, if that has any bearing.
