Big drawback, I think.  Kind of like having to use a speedometer cable for
mixture control on a Zenith Carb.  I know it is being done, but I would not
do it.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Old farm tractors used Marvel Schebler carbs
of many different designs that would probably work.  The draw back would be
that few if any have an (in flight ) mixture control.
