The last 3 years were pretty much "break even" on expenses / income. Hat / shirt sales generally have sales covering expenses. The banquet was a bit of a money maker, maybe $250 to $300 or so. Awards were all expenses, no income. The funds were able to grow over the years mainly through the generosity of the attendees with donations at the banquet when we "passed the hat". The best year as I recall was in the $700 dollar range. Attendance was down at Mt.Vernon the last few years but the fund held it's own at the $5000 dollar mark, going up and down by several hundred dollars each year. We were fortunate at Mt.Vernon to not have a lot of operating expenses and great support from the airport and restaurant. Not every location has that kind of backing. I have the financial statement for the last three years, 2011, 2012, 2013, that I'll send to Steve. He can post it on the Gathering site for your review. I'm sure Steve will make a full report when he finds time to rap things up. We'll see how it shakes out this year. Larry Flesner
