KR> Muffler

KR friends
Next 2 months I am starting to design the mufler. Are there tips and tricks or 
thinks what I need to know, or more important. Wat are the dont`s if you build 
something like that?
I have 2 cylinders, the need to come togheter in one tube. Need this 2 tubes 
the same lenght? 
What kind if tips do you guys have?
