To the aerodynamically minded out there.

I find the wingtips on my son?s  project more than a bit odd. 

It looks like the front edge is squared of ~90deg to mount wingtip lights, and 
then failed back into the Hoerner bevel.

Its hard to see from the images but, but the "reverse fillet" is pretty 
dramatic.

Any thoughts?  Should I cut it off and maintain a standard Hoerner bevel?
