The removable turtle deck that Neil Bingham built had some small alumn.
angle bonded or screwed or both to the longeron. The angle was inset just
enough for the turtle deck to fit against it and be flush with the fuse.
There were nut plates riveted to the inside of the angle every 3or4 inches
and the screws he used were counter sunk into the fiberglass. Neil said it
took 20 minutes or so to remove it but he said it was worth it the fist time
he dropped a tool that would have been almost impossible to get to without
the removable deck.
