A complete dissasembly of the engine. My problem was oil was dripping off of the case half nuts, this meant the seals ( orings ) that go over the case half studs had to be defective-------------as i removed them several almost fell apart. This eng was built in 81 but I'm the only one to fly it.. Of course I replaced the front and rear main seals as well, along with everything else. VW's are neat as u can let the pistons in the cyls and pull the wrist pin with out exposing the rings.
